TONIK from Blue Cross Anthem
November 1, 2007
TONIK’s Plans are meant to be not only fun loving, participants will be able to relax knowing that their coverage is with Blue Cross, a solid company over 65 years old.
TONIK is a product from Anthem Blue Cross Life & Health Insurance Co., designed to be easier to buy, and use, than traditional PPO products.
The TONIK plans cover most types of Lab, X-ray and other common services in an office visit situation. Each plan includes a Dental Plan with no waiting for benefits, a Vision plan that helps with lenses and exams, and the Prescription benefit that seems to get more important every day.
It would not surprise us if Regence, or Empire, two other licensees of Blue Cross Blue Shield, took notice of TONIKs’ success and started look alike products. Anthem has announced it’s own look alike for the states where they are not the licensee for Blue Cross, the ‘Sound’ PPO family is almost identical to TONIK, and available in Texas and Illinois.
